installation error?

When trying to install, i am confronted with this error message from the installer:

Exchanging information with licensing server.
Checking whether the package dependencies are resolved.
E: Broken packages
ERROR: Unable to install packages because of package dependency problems.
Not all packages were installed.
Please, contact product technical support.

How do i fix this problem?

Also, I am using Ubuntu 6.10. Forgot to add that to the last post.
