Installaton Problem

I am at stage one of setup after installing Plesk. I have Serv-U installed, but it won't let me continue because all of the options are greyed out and say that each item is not installed. Did I miss a step during installation? This is very frusturating.

There's no error message, it just says there's no FTP server installed. And it seems like after I login, the Serv-U service stops immediatly, not sure if plesk is stopping it for some reason. I left the machine idle without logging in for at least 6 hours and didn't see it stop once, checked the event viewer and it didn't stop.

try reinstalling the ftp server and do a plesk repair

Repair, like from the Windows Control Panel?

Add/remove programs -> add/remove windows components

select plesk control panel -> change

Here you will have options to modify, repair,etc..

1) Try Server > Components Management > Hit "Refresh" button to see if Serv-U is browsed in Plesk or not.
2) Make sure you have supported version of Serv-U installed: ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Plesk/Plesk8.6/Windows/8.6.0/plesk_8.6.0_build080722.15.htm
