  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Installing Plesk 8.3 behind PIX Firewall

Hi,

Got a server with a fresh install of Windows Server 2003 SP2 sitting behind a PIX firewall on DMZ1 with an Internal IP address of 10.10.10.22.

The problem is that when you type in a domain name internally it resolves to the external IP address BUT you can not access the server via domain name internally.

For example. If I ping webboston.com I get the correct external IP address but that does not route to the server from within the network.

What needs to be changed? Do i have to figure out how to make the PIX route external IP addresses correctly internally or is this something I can fix from within the Plesk Control panel.

Also in version 8.3 of the Administrators manual on page 57 it says under step 2 that you cannot edit records, you have to delete them and create new ones. But when you click on them you can edit them?

Got it...Just added internal IP address of Domain name to the LMHOSTFILE
