  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

integrated windows authentication

A customer asks me to disable the integrated windows authentication in IIS (it's a shared hosting server). Is this something that can be done, or does this bring forth security risks or other issues?

Yes, I think that you can disable it because 'Enable anonymous assess' has more priority than Window authentication. It is used for authentication by Active Directory with Windows or AD internal accounts and I think that disabling will not affect correct Plesk operation.

Can this be disabled in Plesk somehow? Or do I have to go in Windows to disable it?
