I'm running Plesk 7.5 Reloaded on a RedHat ES system. It has been running acceptably for the last couple of months but lately I've been getting a lot of user complaints about e-mail delivering slowly (i.e. someone sends an e-mail to a user while they're having a phone conversation and the mail takes 2-3 hours to appear).
The only thing I've been able to find that looks abnormal is IO Wait. This is a dual-CPU hyperthreaded machine, so "top" reports 4 CPUs. Two of the reported CPUs are always sitting with a very high IO Wait count. The machine is showing as spending close to 50% of it's time in IO Wait.
I'm not seeing hardware error messages in /var/log/messages or dmesg.
Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?
