Question IP Address Banning (Fail2Ban) Configuration

llucas

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 11.9
Plesk version and microupdate number
PLSK.10703051.0007
Hello good morning

You already know me from this forum, I am new to the world of PLESK, I am configuring my server little by little, learning a lot. I have a question, I have IP Address Banning configured but I don't know if I have it configured correctly because looking at it I found that in the jails - modsecurity section it is telling me that it is inactive, I am not sure that it is working. I am attaching screenshots in case someone can help me.

Thanks for your help,
Luis

If the jail is inactive, it does not do anything. You can active it if you like fail2ban to also ban IP's based on log entries generated by modsecurity logs.

Hello,

Ah very good, then I had it configured wrong. I will activate it, I think it is convenient.

Thank you very much!!!, good morning!!
Luis
