Resolved IP from where Email is Sent?

rhbk

New Pleskian
Hi,

In a server with 2 IP's, if I host 2 domains, each one on it's own IP, will the emails sent from the secondary IP domain be sent from it's own IP, or all the emails sent by the server will always use the server main/primary IP?

The setup is as follows:

Primary IP: 1.1.1.1 > This is the IP where Onyx is installed > Hosts Domain 1
Secondary IP: 2.2.2.2 > Hosts Domain 2

In a simple way, on Onyx, by default will emails sent from Domain 2, use the server Primary IP or it's own Secondary IP?

Thanks

Hi rhbk,

did you see the different setting options for your serverwide mail - server - settings at => HOME > Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings ( Option: Outgoing mail mode ) ?

By default, Plesk Onyx is setup to use : => Send from domain IP addresses and use domain names in SMTP greeting ( which you could verify with a view to your existing postfix configuration files ).

Did not noticed that menu! Thanks for the advice. All is clear now!
