Resolved Ip server blacklisted by Spamhaus

Gerald M

New Pleskian
Hi Pleskians !

I am currently in discussion with Spamhaus by tickets because my ip is blacklisted by them.

My server name is : ResolutionAcoustics.laughing- cerf.54-36-114-144.plesk.page

1. It appears well on the Telnet test
Result for Telnet 25 :
------
Trying 51.178.39.220...
Connected to vps-cc7cbee7.vps.ovh.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 ResolutionAcoustics.laughing-cerf.54-36-114-144.plesk.page ESMTP Postfix (Debian/GNU)
------

2. Their last request per ticket is :
""This is not what you want.
Assuming linux, try:
hostname
If that is anything other than " . plesk . page"
then in your postfix config, probably /etc/postfix/main.cf
look for "myhostname" and comment it out. reload postfix and
try again.""

I just looked and the name is correct also here :
----
"myhostname" in /etc/postfix/main.cf :
myhostname = ResolutionAcoustics.laughing-cerf.54-36-114-144.plesk.page
----

Do you have any idea about this problem?
Thanks in advance for all of your help! :)

Hello
I have a similar problem,
PORT STATE SERVICE VERSION
25/tcp open smtp Postfix smtpd
|_banner: 220 flamboyant-bartik.51-68-165-108.plesk.page ESMTP Postfix
Service Info: Host: flamboyant-bartik.51-68-165-108.plesk.page

My plesk host is : flamboyant-bartik.51-68-165-108.plesk.page -> Address : 51.68.165.108
My VPS address : 5.196.28.80

Here is all their messages sent to me: https://check.spamhaus.org/ticketing/?a=ST1300345&b=f30a96f95e7e68b97527791fdcc81a58

Did you find any solution for that ?

Yes, I had to rename my plesk hostname with the name of my domain name.
With for example mydomain.com.
So I have : 220 resolution-acoustics.be ESMTP Postfix

And after having justified my change by a ticket at Spamhaus, my ip was whitelisted.
They have good service.

Like you said,
I changed host name in my Plesk parameters and re-saved Mail Server Settings to change main.cf file. Then I sent the confiramation of changes to Spamhaus.
They accepted my request and all is done. It works well now.

Thank you for your help
