Issue IPv6 - unreachable domain

Hi all,

We are testing websites installation with IPv6.
All the configuration goes smoothly.

But when we want to access to the website, we can not (timeout , not recheable).
We can not "ping" also.

We thought of a problem with the firewall. We lifted all ipv6 rules.

Code:
ip6tables -F
ip6tables -X
ip6tables -t nat -F
ip6tables -t nat -X
ip6tables -t mangle -F
ip6tables -t mangle -X
ip6tables -P INPUT ACCEPT
ip6tables -P FORWARD ACCEPT
ip6tables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT

but no effect.

# dig +short aaaa mydomain.com
2001:41d0:x:x:x:1
#ping mydomain.com
Send request 'ping' to mydomain.com [2001:41d0:x:x:x:1]....
--- mydomain.com ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 4054ms
# ip6tables -S
-P INPUT ACCEPT
-P FORWARD ACCEPT
-P OUTPUT ACCEPT

Do you an idea for the problem?

Thank you.

Erwan

Did you also configure (assign) an IPv6 address to that domain in Plesk via example.com -> Hosting & DNS -> Web Hosting Access?

From outside.

Traceroute from outside does not arrive.
Traceroute from server arrive:
# traceroute -6 mydomain.com
traceroute to mydomain.com (2001:41d0:x:x:x:1), 30 hops max, 80 byte packets
1 reverseip... (2001:41d0:x:x:x:1) 0.050 ms 0.018 ms 0.016 ms

I can ping from inside.
I can not ping from outside.

No problem with IPv4 : i can ping or traceroute from outside or on the server.

I don't understand...
There seems to be an ipv6 usage restriction somewhere but I can't see where.

I've used the same process an another server and no problem, Ipv6 works.

Check if IPv6 (inet6) is enabled in /etc/network/interfaces and /etc/network/interfaces.d/* and if you have a valid route.

And does your PC (the outside) has iPv6 enabled and your ISP can use IPv6?

What happens when you traceroute from your server to another? Your other server? Your provider?

I can ping from inside.
Ping where? Your own IP6 or another?

Did you triple-check you correctly configured the IP6 (range) your provider assigned to you?
