• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved Is it safe to disable ipv6?

Giorgio1

New Pleskian
I would like to know if it is safe to disable ipv6 on my dedicated server (OVH SoYouStart) following the instructions on this page:

How to disable IPv6 addresses on a Plesk server?

What are the consequences of this operation? I thought about this because on my server there are 4-5 Wordpress website (one with WooCommerce and one Multisite) and I don't think is needed. And Plesk is coming for example with Fail2ban 0.9 that doesn't support ipv6.

Thanks.

The consequences are that the server cannot be accessed through an IPv6 address. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks. One domain was configured to use that ipv6 so I had to enter in the domain -> Web Hosting Access and save the settings. After I was able to remove the ip from IP Addresses.
