• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Resolved Is there any way to change DNS via REST API?

New Pleskian
Hi,
I was trying to see if there is a way to automatically change a domain's DNS address via REST API but i didnt see any.
As plesk, are you planning on adding some functions to change more detailed settings of a domain?
If yes, is there an estimated time to its release?
Thank you in advance.

REST API has the ability to call CLI utilities using CLI gate. The full list of supported utilities can be found using following request:

Code:
# curl -k -u admin:password -X GET "https://localhost:8443/api/v2/cli/commands/"

As you can see there is 'dns' and 'server_dns' Plesk utilities:

Code:
# curl -k -u admin:password -X GET "https://localhost:8443/api/v2/cli/commands/" | grep dns
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
100 1493 0 1493 0 0 10365 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 10440
    "dns",
    "server_dns",

So, you can use these utilities for your purpose in REST API request. More details and examples you can find here How to manage Plesk via REST API?
