  • Inviting everyone to the UX test of a new security feature in the WP Toolkit
For WordPress site owners, threats posed by hackers are ever-present. Because of this, we are developing a new security feature for the WP Toolkit. If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. Issues with /var/lib/php/session after plesk update

Sorted!

OK I was told about Putty ssh and applied the fix. All is well again.

I am puzzled why this old problem came back again after all this time when plesk updated itself at the weekend! Can they not fix it at source and send us updates that do not clobber us each time!

For me, the problem was not fixed with any of the solutions posted here.

So, after trying many things, what I did was change the sessions path to /tmp/ on the php.ini of the domain (inside hosting settings).

All works again now.

THANK YOU for this! This stupid error was filling up the error log, making it almost impossible to find the real problem when something else went wrong!
