Key expiration date

Hello,

i just bought an plesk 8.1 key and installed it.
now i see there is a Key expiration date.

does it update on it's own, and what about after 3 years or more/less.

is swsoft going to update the key until i'm planning to buy another version ?

or do i have to buy a new key every year ?
