I'm having a similar problem to this post:

When I go to update the key, I just get a prompt to save a blank php page.
I don't have the plesk firewall module installed and I don't have anything defined in iptables or my router that would restrict access to the key server. I also tested it from the command line. See below:
$ telnet ka.swsoft.com 5224
