Issue Let’s Encrypt renewal

Kingsley

Silver Pleskian
Hi,

Let’s Encrypt won't renew when using external DNS like DNSMADEEASY unless we update the TEXT records, is there a way around this?

Thanks

If you're using the Let's Encrypt / SSL It Plesk extentions and Let's Encrypt *Wildcard Certificates, then NO ;) there isn't.
This was very recently re-stated here: Let's Encrypt extension under Nuances, but has been a known limit for quite a while.
We use external DNS, so have to renew all our Let's Encrypt *Wildcard Certificates manually ( _acme-challenge txt entries etc). It's never ever been a problem.

It's not a problem when you have people doing that, not when you are the only one, i was able to use DO DNS for some domains

If that's the case, why don't you setup and use Plesk DNS instead of external DNS? Less work (for an individual) once it's configured correctly ;)
