My Key expires in one week, and will not update. The error from the
application log is:

Unable to update key. An error occured while processing your key. You
can try to update it later. The key cannot be upgraded due to the
network failure during connection with the Key Authority server.
Please check that your internet connection is configured, you can
resolve and access ka.swsoft.com and your firewall enables outgoing
connections to TCP port 5224.

I am running Plesk 7.5.6 (Upgraded from 7.5.4) on Windwos Server 2003. I have tried to simply add rules to the Windows Firewall. I have disabled the firewall as well as Clam. I don't know what else to do...

try to do as described here:
1. Stop firewall
2. Go to CP -> Server -> License management page and click to "Retrieve Keys" button.
3. Start firewall.

Hope that helps a bit.

I've tried that. I have gone as far as disabling the firewall completely. I have removed antivirus/antispam. I am at a lost.

May be one of your routers do not allow this port to be routed. Contact your Internet provider to clarify this situation.

Be sure that TCP 5224 is opened, this port is used for connecting to the Plesk Licensing server.

Hello guys!

I have same problem on a 2003 Webedition server :(
from command line i can connect to ka.swsoft.com 5224. I make a little php script that open a tcp link to ka.swsoft.com 5224 and installed it on plesk's apache server (i had to disable auto prepend auth.php file) and it's working fine too!

So if you have any ideas ...

thanks!
