• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Lightsail install: Ubuntu and Plesk

Peter J Murray

New Pleskian
OK, I've gone through the steps to install Plesk on a lightsail instance through AWS. I added the ports and I can SSH in and I ran the install script and got the "secrets".

What is the admin name? I've tried admin, Admin, administrator and Administrator, using the key (after the =) from the SSH session. I changed the 0 to an O in the password on all four as well.

I can't figure out how to copy from the lightsail terminal window. Usually just highlighting with your mouse is all you need, but this ain't working.

Any thoughts? Any solutions?

This can't be that hard of a question. I just ran the script again and came up with a different password. I STILL CAN'T GET IN!!! This time I only tried administrator and admin.

WHAT IS THE DEFAULT ADMIN ACCOUNT???

You need to to go to the full URL which is given; You'll setup the admin user the first time from there.
