Hello.

We have customers thar are sending 10000 emails (newsletters) is there a way to stop or control the outgoing emails.

For example the same user have permission to send 50 email per hour.

Thank you for your feedback!

Hi,

Currently Plesk does not allow to limit amount of TO, CC and BCC addresses in a mail
messages. However Qmail can be compiled manually with the
qmail-1.03-maxrcpt.patch patch which can be found at: http://qmail.jms1.net/patches/combined-6.shtml

But it requires advanced Linux administration skills. Please refer to
the following articles in regards to rebuilding qmail with custom
patches:
http://kb.swsoft.com/article_22_1088_en.html
for Plesk 7.5.4
and
http://kb.swsoft.com/article_22_1161_en.html
for Plesk 8.

Thanks Tiramisu for your great tip ;)
I will see the articles.
Thanks once again.

Anyone have more clues about the implementation of this.
Any links or patches.

Thanks.

Thats a nice site, and it does work in IE7 while the other one did not, and in firefox did not work at all since there was no page :)

In terms of the patch, on his site it says:

maxrcpt patch - Allows the sysadmin to set limits a message's number of recipients. The default for this patch is set to 100.

Thats nice for limiting the amount of reciepients, but I think the original poster asked for a way to limit outgoing mail per account on an hourly basis. Im not sure if that helps him to accomplish that unless there is more to this patch then was explained.

Thank you Faris and HostingGuy for your replyes to this topic,

Yes I want to limit the outgoing email per user, like I told before I can't control the outgoing email, and I don't want to suspend the customers account, because I don't have any limit and the clients doesn't know it to.

Thank you once again.
