• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Resolved Login page only allows social media loginsI

New Pleskian
I just upgraded the latest version of Plesk Obsidian from Onyx. When I try to login into the page using my domain name and port number, the login page shows social media logins only. There is no username and password fields. Also, the plesk logo image isn't loaded on the left side of the screen. I tried to repair the installation, but the command "plesk repair installation" it doesn't recognized "installation" as a valid command. It also doesn't show up as part of the list of aspects when I use the help option. I also tried to reinstall from the command line and it claims Plesk is already installed. I also tied the repair shortcut from the login url and I got an error page. Finally, I tried repairing the installation from Windows Add/Remove Program and there was only the option to uninstall plesk.

I contacted my hosting provider's tech support and was told I would need to execute the following command:

plesk bin admin --get-login-link

I'm not sure what the command did, but it cleared up the error. I am now able to log into my admin account. What bothers me is that I followed the instruction in detail and I never saw this mentioned. Plesk's documentation is inadequate.

Ohhh dude, and i thought it was only my problem, it looks like it happens to more people than i could even think. The fact that a more users are getting uncomfortable because of these issues, would make them abandon plesk, which would't be that nice for the moderators and site admins. I mean did you ever had any kind of problem like this on a social network website? Like facebook, myspace (oldie but goldie) or even instagram. I mean on my instagram page despite i have purchased followers, which i do not recommend, i just tried to see if it works, despite the fact that i have done it, i have never had an issue like this, which makes it aberrant.
