With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.

Low free RAM after Plesk 12 update

Aiden

New Pleskian
Hello,

Plesk recently auto-updated during my sleep time and I got the email saying it updated successfully. The forum was fine, plesk had updated and it was all performing fine.

I tend to make a backup before I go to sleep so I did and noticed that my website started becoming slower than usual. I check to see and it said there that out of 8GB, I only had 300 free. Yesterday and ever since I got this server, I've always had at least 4GB free RAM available and I haven't changed anything other than plesk auto-updating itself.

Can anyone assist me on this please?

Thank you very much!

Hello Aiden,
The command
Code:
htop
should assist you in determining which processes on the server are consuming much RAM.

Do you mean that latest microupdate was installed on your Plesk 12 server?
BTW, Fail2ban can use a lot of RAM on the server if it monitors numerous jails with many log files.

Command not found. I don't have it installed apparently.

The recent update. I think I was already on Plesk 12, can't remember.

If I run cat /proc/meminfo, this is what it shows me:

Hi Aiden,

if "htop" is not installed on your system, you could choose to install it.

Ubuntu: apt-get install htop
CentOS: yum install htop
