• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

mail issue between 2 domains in Plesk

iHuman

Basic Pleskian
- domain1.com is hosted on the server. email is hosted an external email server
- domain2.com is hosted on the server and email is also hosted on the server

If an email is sent from domain1 to domain2 - nothing happens. It is never received. It is as if Plesk is saying, this domain is on my server, but I don't handle email for it, so domain2 - you can't receive it.

How can this be fixed?

thanks!

I checked the logs and there were no errors, which was the confusing part. I decided to try another approach and contacted the external email hosting provider. After a fair amount of troubleshooting, I realized the external provider was forcing the MX records for domain2.com - which was previously hosted on their server. This was the reason it didn't work. Once they removed the forced MX records, it started working correctly.

thanks for your assistance!
