• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Mail Server Blacklist Not Blocking Domains

David Jimenez

Basic Pleskian
I have set some domains in Tools & Settings/Mail Server Settings/Black List; however, I still get emails from one of the blacklisted domains. Is there an issue with that blacklist feature or is there another setting I am missing?

Hi David Jimenez,

pls. don't forget to provide the following informations, if you desire help from the Plesk Community:

YOUR current used operating system
YOUR
current used Plesk version

( simply use the command "plesk version" over the command line, logged in as user "root" over SSH, for such informations! ;) )
YOUR current used mail - server
CORRESPONDING
log - entries from your mail - log(s)

In addition, it could make sense to include your mail - server - configuration files, so that people willing to help you with the investigations, have something to start with their investigations. ;)

... and to answer your question:
Is there an issue with that blacklist feature
No, there are no known issues and the feature works as expected on all servers I administrate.
