I've got a rootserver from Strato runnun with Linux 2.6.25.18-0.2-default and Plesk 9.3.0. CPU is AuthenticAMD, AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 146.

I entered the mail-adresses für the domains as usual, the system is stable for more than 3 years now.

Since a few weeks I got the problem, that mails cant received anymore. As soon as somebody sends a mail to one of those i use, the author ist getting error-messages like this:
This is the mail system at host hxxxxxxx.stratoserver.net.

name/domain has been replaced by me.

I found no erros in /var/logs/mail.err, also Plesk -> Action Logs says nothing.

Any idea what is going wrong?

Plesk maillog located here /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog but not in /var/log/mail.err
Try to find any errors there.

There's nothing wrong in the log, but I found our that I'm missing several directories within the /var/qmail/ directory. There only is /var/qmail/mailnames and /var/qmail/popuser. There's no directory called /var/qmail/control/ like on another rootserver I got at Strato.

Anybody an idea on that? Then I'm also missing the important (thats what I read in the internet) control/locals/me file, right? And I've got no idea how to fix this...

YAST? I suggest you manual force reinstallation. How does it refer to YAST?

Didnt ;)

I know that my knowledge aint that good concerning those cases, but actually i have no clue how i cando this :(

Download necessary package and reinstall it with force with rpm command. Something like

rpm -Ivh --force --nodeps psa-qmailXXXXXXX.rpm

Okay, I've been through this now, the missing dirs have been created. After the re-install I ran mchk --with-spam but still it doesn't work. The logfiles say nothing about an error, the /control/me is okay.
