Resolved Mailbox storage usage displayed incorrectly in Plesk

I’m having a strange issue with mailbox storage reporting on my Plesk server.
In the Plesk interface, one of my mailboxes is constantly shown as full — for example, 29 GB / 20 GB used.

When I run the following command via the console:

Code:
plesk repair mail [email protected]

the usage briefly shows the correct value (around 17.5 GB / 20 GB), but after a short time it goes back to showing 29 GB / 20 GB as if it were over quota again.
In addition, the affected users are also receiving automatic quota warning emails from the system, saying that their mailbox is full, even though there’s still plenty of free space.

When I run the command again it is again around 17.5 GB for a short period of time and switches back to 29 GB.

Has anyone seen this behavior before or knows what could cause it?
Everything else on the system seems to work fine — it’s just the mailbox quota display that keeps getting inflated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, @TorbHo . The issue you describe is very likely due to corruption of the file /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/john.doe/Maildir/maildirsize, which is regenerated when you run the repair utility. I cannot, however, confirm what's causing the ongoing reoccurrence of the issue. If you have the option, it will be best to open a ticket with Plesk support for further investigation on your server.
