  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MariaDB 10

redhell

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

how compatible is Plesk Panel 11.5 to MariaDB 10 because in the release notes of PP only MySQL 5.5 compatibility is listed and MariaDB 10 has MySQL 5.6 backported features.
On Plesk 12 it works 'ok' but there were some problems during the update because panel couldn't resolve the InnoDB status (or something similar).

Thanks.

Plesk 11.5 doesn't really work with MySQL 5.6. At least you won't be able to install it with MySQL 5.6 without errors. I'm not sure if it works with MariaDB 10. Basically current Plesk versions don't work with MySQL 5.6 due to strict mode (which can be turned off prior to installation as a potential workaround).

Could you be more specific? I'm sure devs would be interested to hear that (so that it gets fixed before 12.0 release).
