  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Question MIgrate protected directory d..httpdocs file

John S.

New Pleskian
I need to migrate the whole protected directory access file to another domain on the same server. So, I copied d..httpdocs from

/var/www/vhosts/system/old_domain.com/pd

to

/var/www/vhosts/system/new_domain.com/pd

The new protected directory works fine, but the users are not listed in

Protected directory / on domain new_domin.com

How can I get the users listed there?

Thanks!

I was drilling it down further.
  1. If I delete all user entries in the d..httpdocs file, users are still shown in Plesk Protected Directory panel. It means that users are also saved somewheer else, wither in the database or in the 2nd file, not only in d..httpdocs.
  2. I I checked all tables in psa database, nothing there, no tables for users of protected directories.
  3. So, I searched the whole server on a sample username - there is only one entry in d..httpdocs file.
Any suggestions? The question remains - where does Plesk store users of protected directories, in addition to d..httpdocs?
