• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
    With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Migrating data from Plesk and cPanel

I am trying to migrate my 20 users from one plesk based server (that is at FC1) to another pleks based server (that is at FC2).

there are some very annoying troubles.

I can not open any email in new server - it simply gives invalid login error. I tried even to reset the ids. even ftp accounts are not working.

After this migration, i attempted to migrate some users on a cpanel based system. My one client wanted to migrate to my server from cpanel (that is hosted by somene else - and the client have reseller plan there).

i put the <hostname>: port and username/password of that person to import the data (i dont know i did it correctly) but it gave the following:

MigrationDeployer::getScountInfo failed: not exist file /usr/local/psa/PMM/var/scout-result.xml
0: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/PMM/MigrationDeployer.php:58 psaerror(string "MigrationDeployer::getScountInfo failed: not exist file /usr/local/psa/PMM/var/scout-result.xml")
1: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/PMM/MigrationUploadScout.php:431 migrationdeployer->getscoutinfo()
2: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/PMM/MigrationUploadScout.php:484 migrationuploadscout->gethostfs()
3: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/PMM/MigrationUploadScout.php:225 migrationuploadscout->gethostfslist()
4: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/PMM/MigrationUploadScout.php:121 migrationuploadscout->iniformscountresult()
5: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/PMM/MigrationCObject.php:40 migrationuploadscout->_make()
6: /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/server/PMM/index.php:11 migrationuploadscout->make()

Now Migration system is giving this error whenever i try to open.

how to fix it?

You should put only the hostname to the 'hostname' field, and root password to the password field. It's all documented, after all :)

Deleting all the entries from the psa.PMM mysql table worked for me.
