Migration from 7.5.6 to 8.6

I'm trying to perform a migration from Plesk 7.5.6 to 8.6,

Basically we are moving from one hosting company's server to a new server with a different company.

After reading the migration documentation and opening up all ports adding firewall rules (or even disabling firewalls) i still can't access the shares \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\c$ .. ADMIN$

I have enabled File Sharing on both servers.

I have around 60 domains to move, some coldfusion with mysql, is there another way to approach this? or can someone suggest how I can get the shares to work from external, i.e. over internet.

Both servers are windows Server 2003.

Cheers

Anyone?

Is it possible to backup each site and restore them to the new server? are the backups compatible?

i am also faced with similar dilemma. Plesk support is really lacking. Too bad I am stuck in plesk or else I would have moved to cpanel long time ago. Not like plesk is so much cheaper or anything.
