Migration with rsync fails with $ in main FTP password

sorry seems not to be (the only) problem. one domain with no $ in password still fails damn

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION AND STEPS TO REPRODUCE
migrating a domain with $ (and maybe other special chars) in main ftp password fails with no error message!
only if you use rsync! source server is ubuntu 8.04 plesk 8.6
ACTUAL RESULT
migration fails withno error message

EXPECTED RESULT
migration should work with $ and other special chars in main FTP password
