• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

OK. I'm taking my servers to Fedora Core 2 and 7.5.1 -- looks like I have no choice.

Here's my plan:

1) clone the running server on another hard drive. The existing servers all run RH 7.3 and RH 9 right now

2) Upgrade OS using Fedora Core 2 from CD-Rom

3) Run Yum to get the latest non-control-panel upgrades

4) Install Plesk 7.5.1 updater over that.

5) Install 7.5.1 license key

6) shut down old server and re-sync changes in web sites and MySQL databases

7) Swap hard drives

8) Pray for a working system.

Has anyone done this? If so, what was your success? The problems you ran into?
