• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Question MS SQL on Ubuntu + Encrypted connection

New Pleskian
Hi I have a Plesk Obsidian based VPS running Ubuntu 20.04.

I've installed MS SQL 2019 on ubuntu and it's working great, I can access the database from local apps as well as remotley.

Currently I'm connecting to domain.com,1234. I've opened port 1234 and can access the MS SQL database remotely.

I want to enable the encrypted connections now - The instructions on Microsoft's website talk about generating an SSL certificates (Encrypting Connections to SQL Server on Linux - SQL Server)

However - I already have SSL Certificates for domain.com created and managed through Plesk - can I just use the Plesk managed certificates somehow?

If I create a new SSL certificates as per the instructions on the MS website, will that cause any conflicts with the Plesk managed SSL certs?
