• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

MS SQL Server

I am looking to offer Windows hosting, with .net, MS SQL Server, PHP5, and MySQL all at once.

Here are a few questions:

1. Do I need to have SQL Server installed first prior to installing Plesk?

2. How do I get PHP and .net + SQL Server + MySQL working all together? Do I install IIS?

KenJ,

1) I would recommend installing the SQL server first, but it should not be an issue if you do so later. You will have to register it as a database server in Plesk in any case, though.

2) Yes, you can run all of them at the same time, just be sure to have both databse servers installed on the server and registered in Plesk, as well as having support for all desired features to be enabled on the appropriate domains.

How to register Database Server

Hi,

How to register MsSQL into plesk?

I only see "MySQL" on "Database Server", but i have pre-installed the "MySQL5.1" and "MsSQL2005".

Please help.

Thanks.

If you have no MSSQL in "Add database server" this might be caused by "MSSQL support" absent on your license.
You can check it in License section.
