Multiple sites with the same "Physical path"

I am using the Plesk 9.2.1 on our web server. We currently have 30 domains that run off of the same code base. On our old server we used helm and did not have any issue overriding the "Physical Path" in IIS.

I am told that it is not possible to set up a domain in Plesk and then override the "physical path" in IIS. I was told that Plesk will override this setting. Is that the case or is it safe to override the "physical path".

Domain aliases is not a viable solution as each domain also requires its own email addresses.

It can be changed through IIS and should not cause any problems but as soon as any web hosting related changes are applied to that domain through Plesk CP, custom path will be replaced with an original one. You can also check it by yourself with a test domain.
