• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MX server is external for TLD, but email delivered locally for postmaster

RaffaeleD

New Pleskian
I've a box running Linux Plesk 12.0.18 + Postfix and hosting mydomain.com.
Email service is hosted by an external provider.

The problem is that I can't write to [email protected] because Postfix tries to deliver it locally.

What I've already done:

Configured MX record on DNS to point the external provider's server.
Disabled mail service for the TLD from plesk panel or with:
/usr/local/psa/bin/mail --off mydomain.com

The problem still remains.

I think I'm facing on Plesk 12 the same problem described here and elsewhere on this forum for Plesk 9:
http://kb.parallels.com/en/6129

Please, any help is very appreciated!

up! and update:

also [email protected] is delivered locally instead of being sent to the external server.

Is anybody experiencing a similar issue with the last Plesk Panel for Linux?

Am I facing a bug? In the case, I'd really appreciate a patch.

I will try to contact Parallels support.
