MySQL memory usage alerts

meech

New Pleskian
Hello!

After installing the Android app on my phone, i noticed the alerts tab is showing yellow and red for MySQL memory usage. (I can't seem to find any similar information in the web browser based control panel.) The stats tab shows there should probably be enough memory available on the server. (Screenshots attached)

Google suggests this as a top hit for addressing MySQL memory issues, but wanted to touch base here first before attempting to tweak:

Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction. I know memory management can open up pandoras box.

Version Plesk v12.5.30_build1205150826.19 os_Ubuntu 14.04
OS Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS

Thank you!!!

Can anyone offer a quick thought on this?

The installation only has 15 very small, low-traffic Drupal sites and server shows roughly 40% memory still available. Does Plesk/MySQL really need manual memory management tweaks for this even for such a relatively small setup?

Hello meech,

As far as I can see from screenshot there is enough RAM memory on the server. Changing Mysql memory usage levels to yellow and red can be caused by peak load on the server or warning levels are set to low values.
In first case attempt to increase virtual memory size. In second correct alarm levels for Health Monitor by using KB article: https://kb.odin.com/en/124153
