Need help getting "default" domain in Plesk to work..

I setup Plesk and put 'xcage.net' as the hostname when it asked. I went to xcage.net and then http://66.235.180.130/ (the shared IP) and it had the default page... this was in c:\inetpub\vhosts\default

I wanted to use xcage.net but couldn't figure out how to use it.... it's the 'default' directory, but I see nowhere to add ftp accounts or use it.. so I had to setup a client for myself and added the xcage domain to it (which you see now if you visit xcage.net). But if you goto http://66.235.180.130/ itll show the default like its suppose to... this is a problem because if I now goto "Preview" in any other domain I have, it tries to goto http://xcage.net/domain.com/ instead of http://66.235.180.130/domain.com/ to preview it... and brings a 404

Did I put the wrong thing in hostname or did I set xcage.net up wrong ?

this was in c:\inetpub\vhosts\default

Thats not the area that your site will end up in. I ended up having your same default area but then I had to make the standard domain first then under Vhosts it says the domain name, default is in there but I dont use default at all.

this is a problem because if I now goto "Preview

My problem is when I goto preview I get http://www.mydomain.com/mydoman.com

Right now i just avoid preview alltogether because it shows me that I bought into the dream that was Plesk....

You bought Plesk...

Now live with your decisions...;)

I would also like an answer to this question. However note this, the default is wrong and if you are using default then goto IIS and change the name default to your web site and see what that does. I can only say I hope you can find an answer because this is one of a million questions I also have. I thought to at least share my own question with you in the hopes that maybe just maybe one day we can make it to the promised land....
