• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Need some help before upgrade Plesk Panel from 9.5.4 to 11.5

Guest
Hi.
Wanted to get a little advice if possible.

We are using version 9.5.4 and now plan to move to the latest version 11.5.30. With the upgrade to version 9.5. * And above changed business model Parallels Plesk Panel. I have read the relevant documentation, but has not been fully able to determine which strategy to choose to transform the domain administrators to customers or resellers.
I want to:
1. At times to provide various contractors (web developers) access to a specific domain. Access should allow them to connect to FTP, SSH, panel Plesk (database creation), phpmyadmin database specific domain.
2. A couple of domains using subdomains with allocation a single user access to the directory with http-documents via ftp protocol for these subdomains ("separate FTP account for a subdomain").
3. A couple of domains that have web-users (Domains - Website - Owners of web pages). These users can upload documents via ftp.
4. For 3 domains at / var / www / vhosts have a directory called "shared", which is connected to these domains using symbolic links. Folder permissions - 755 for files - 644 for the apache user and group psacln.
We need to keep the existing functionality after the upgrade. How do you recommend convert domain administrators and users when upgrading?
And another question: I read the document http://kb.parallels.com/en/114598, which describes the problem after the upgrade, if you have previously installed nginx. Maybe it makes sense to me first remove nginx (previously archiving configuration files), and then update the panel and make changes to the configuration files after the upgrade?
Thank you.
