  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hi!
A sending server receives
Server error: "550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>: Receipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table".
Checked with plesk sbin mail_auth_view .
The accounts are displayed, no flags given.
I created a new account for testing, stopped, started postfiy/dovecot services and rebooted the server. No change.
Sending e-mails is okay. only receiving e-mails doesnt work.
The mail.err log says:
psa-pc-remote[65094]: Message aborted.
How can I fix that?
Thanks for your help!

Does the recipient domain exist on the sender's server? Can the sender prove that the mail is actually leaving it's system and connecting to the recipient's server?

Hi, Peter!

thanks for your reply.
The sending server (running plesk)is working fine for years now. All emails are sent to their destination w/o any problems.
The receiving server is up since 4 days. (running plesk). And its the only target mailserver which seems not to function properly.
To come back to your question: No, these are totally different systems, in different datacenters. The latest server is currently hosting one domain only, the other 18 domains. Connecting/sending to the new server gives the sender the 550 error above.

Regards,..

Thank you for your response. However, the question was whether the recipient domain exists on the sender's server. Put differently: Have you made sure that the domain the mail is sent to does not exist on the sender's server? The log excerpt you provide is not from the recipient's server, but from the sender's server. It is unclear whether the message is ever sent out to the internet. To me it looks rather like the system tries to deliver it locally, because it believes that it hosts the recipient's domain.

Peter!
You're my man!
I moved the domain from my vps to a dedicated and forgot to delete the corresponding domain on the vps!
You solved it!
Thank you very much!
