Hello everyone,
I have come here to gain assistance. I recently purchased a Dedi from RapidSwitch, and after attenpting to set up the main Parellels configuration page of the control panel, I receive this error:
https://localhost:8443/
ERROR: PleskMainDBException
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
0: common_func.php3:637
reconnect()
1: common_func.php3:600
db_connect()
2: auth.php3:134
Now, Before I set this up, I downloaded, but did not install an independent mySQL DB, of which the tech from RS, thinks broke the Plesk panel login and, this is why the error appears. I'm not sure.
The only time I attmpted to use mySQL in any form, was when I installed a program that needed to set up a DB, to which access was not allowed. I have opened port 3306 using the Comodo Firewall that I installed as well as the Windows firewall.
Also, I used a domain name of: RadioUSA.INFO as the host name. This domain name I had just registered, before setting everything up... so that shouldn't be the problem.
This error only came up after I tried to retrieve License Keys for the Panel, which tech support said I should do.
They are going to do a complete re-install of the entire server, so this is my last resort to finding out why this error appears, before this re-install commences.
Does anyone here have any insight on this error?
Thank you,
JE
