  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

New Plesk 12 installation - where's the Firewall module?

N_Vas

Basic Pleskian
I used this method to install Plesk:
wget -O - http://autoinstall.plesk.com/one-click-installer | sh

I'm not seeing the Firewall module anywhere, I also looked under the Extensions area and there's no option to install it there.

Some docs I found indicate there should be a MODULES link somewhere in plesk, I'm logged in as admin to :8443 and don't see any reference to Modules.

If it helps I'm on the Corporate/Business Power User "view"

So - how exactly can I install or enable the Firewall module?

Also why is it missing? The last Plesk 12 install I did had the firewall by default, and I installed the exact same way as this server, and both are running CentOS 7.

Thank you

Hi N_Vas,

Go to "Tools & Settings" > "Updates and Upgrades" > "Add/Remove Components", expand "Additional Plesk extensions", enable "Plesk Firewall extension" and click "Continue".

This should install the Firewall for you.
