on the plesk site it says that only ubuntu 5.04 os can be used. I have ubuntu version 5.10 which is a newer release and thought that because its more up to date plesk would install over it.......cant figure it out though......does anyone know if it's possible or am i aimlessly trying here.

You could most likely install the plesk rpms manually (this is not hard) you can simply check the plesk installation guide on the swsoft website under plesk.

No guarentees, but this usually works.

I did this on RHEL U2, as only U1 is supported by the auto installer and it worked beautifully.

Hope this helps! ;)
