Newbie needs help - SUB domains - And FILE edits

Hi everybody i only joint a short while ago and have only owned a dedicated server for two weeks so i am still learning.

Two little questions:

1)
I can see from the threads that there is a problem with adding sub domaims in plesk 10. has this been fixed because i have meticulously followed all the instructions from the help pages and from several online videos all saying the same thing. " just add it to a domain name and plesk will do the rest AND if you want you can alter the dns to point it to an ip adress ". But it seems to my novice eyes that the dns records are not accurate. same problems as reported on this forum.

2)
I cannot edit files from plesk when i click on edit file via the edit icon next to a domain name the Html/ php code displays in a window. i can edit it and change it.

But when i click save there is no indication or confirmation or request to acknowledge edits "are you sure" "your changes will now take effect" etc instead i get taken to a new page instantly, and the changes do not show on the file in the server.

This is confirmed by waiting a while going back to edit page and the file i edited is unchanged viewing the page via any browser shows no edits have taken place.

Currently i'm using lots of bandwidth to make small typo edits etc because i have to download the file html page or whatever make the edits and re upload the entire file / page again.

IS THIS A BUG or am i not using plesk interface correctly.

Apologies if this has been dealt with elsewhere i searched but could not find this question on forum.
