Nginx Caching button in WP toolkit remains in "waiting" state when clicked

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Since a few days, when clicking the "Nginx caching" button inside Wordpress toolkit, the button moves into the "waiting" state, but the process never finishes, Nginx caching is not turned on by it. However, when using the Apache and Nginx configuration icon in the Websites & Domains tab, there is no issue with Nginx caching. It can be turned on and off easily.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Click the "Nginx caching" button in Wordpress toolkit.

ACTUAL RESULT

Button goes into "waiting" state, but process never finishes.

EXPECTED RESULT

Button moves on from "waiting" to "green", process finishes.
