Question nginx returns 404 on URLs with trailing slash

surfgatinho

New Pleskian
I have looked into this and couldn't find a solution that dealt with wildcard urls followed by trailing slash, was Plesk specific or that I could understand.

Basically I have a few sites that have a directory style structure for locations. E.g. /europe/paris/france/ and that trailing slash is at all levels.
This works fine until I enable "Smart static files processing" on the Domains > Apache & nginx Settings page.

Once I do this I get a nginx 404 on any page with a trailing slash.

This issue affects both bespoke code and some Wordpress sites I run.

Any ideas how I can override this behaviour?

Many thanks,
Chris
