Nginx reverse proxy for only subdomain

Hi,
We have an application running on gunicorn behind nginx on a domain domainA.com, as for our new client requirement we created a subdomain subd.domainA.com to run a new instance of the application, the question how can we reverse-proxy the new instance only from the subdomain.

You can use nginx reverse-proxy only for domains but not for subdomains. You can create your subd.domainA.com as separate domain with own subscription and enable nginx reverse-proxy there.

As I understand it's not possible to have conf folder and its vhsot_nginx.conf in ../vhosts/domainA.com/subd.domainA.com
