• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

No more FTP login since proFTPD 1.3.3c update

GuillaumeH

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I have updated proFTPD to the 1.3.3c version to fix the vulnerability via the atomic repo on my CentOS 5 / Plesk 9.5.4.

Since this update my plesk users can't login on proFTPD, it always end up with "530 Login incorrect"

How to make the FTP login work again? thank you

I've checked your solution and permissions is already good.

So I still can't login by FTP

Do you think that the update changed something in my proftpd.conf or something like that?

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with proftpd from atomic repo. Try to ask atomicturtle or use proftpd from official Plesk repository.

If I uninstall the proftpd 1.3.3c version from atomic, How can I easily reinstall the good version from your services?

thank you, i'm back to 1.3.2 version and my FTP works now.

But how to update to the 1.3.3c version to fix the security problem?
