• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue Not possible to change the document path(/root) for our reseller

marc@orxo

New Pleskian
Hello dear Plesk community and forum team,

these are our software specifications:
OS / Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Product / Plesk Obsidian
Version 18.0.64, last updated on Oct 4, 2024 04:33 AM

The following problem exists:
- One of our customers would like to subsequently change the document path of a subscription in his reseller account.
This is not possible because the corresponding area is grayed out/blocked.
- For other customers, this works perfectly fine (with the same configuration (including the corresponding service packages))
- The customer describes that this has always worked (which we can confirm)
- However, this is now no longer possible

I suspect that there are some dependencies on the part of Plesk that make it impossible to change the document root/path.
I have checked the permissions and they seem to be OK (just like for the other customers (and its working for them)).
He has not yet added/uploaded anything to this particular subscription.

I would appreciate a helpful approach to troubleshooting, best regards
Marc

#Update / #Closed

I have figured it out. The problem was in the service plan under permissions “Show more permissions” and “Domain management”.
The check mark was not set.

But Im sure this changed in some update, as the document directory could always be changed before without setting this check mark.
