Mannn this is frustrating as I'm sure I did everything right! Im trying to get my sites to Xammp from online servers because unfortunately due privates reasons I cannot afford the costs and I'm detoxing heavily so I feel like absolute ****.
So in Xampp I got naturally apache and mysql running, I made a site map in hdocs, copied all the files from the httpdocs from the website, I exported the database and imported it the mysql of Xampp, the database name, data and the prefixes are exactly the same I checked the wp-config file with the one on the server, everything matches exactly, the DB name in Xampp is exactly the same, however, when I load the site it keeps saying error connecting to the DB.
I turned everything off in the W11 security including firewalls, triple checked if data was the same, but still get the error and it's driving me crazy. Never had any problem moving from server to server or from Xampp to a server but from server to Xampp.
I just can't get it working. Read tons of tutorials for the past hours and it's driving me crazy! When installing a clean WP, no issues.
