Open ports?

    Hi,

    I have new Virtual Dedicated account in GoDaddy.

    I installed the PMM with no trouble and the PMU in the source server also.

    I am not able to connect and I keep getting the same error. It seems that this issue is related to close ports in my server.

    I asked GoDaddy to open the necessary ports as described in a SWSoft article:

    "Specifically, the following ports must be open and the data exchange protocols enabled on the ports.
    Software
    Port
    Protocol
    SAMBA
    135
    TCP
    139
    TCP
    445
    TCP
    137
    UDP
    138
    UDP
    PMM
    6489 (or other)
    TCP
    SHH
    22 (or other)
    TCP
    "

    Well... Godaddy won't open ports 135,139,445,137 and 138

    So I am stucked... Is there any way to go around this issue... not using this ports maybe?

    switch your hosting provider. Godaddy hosting is known for a lot of issues. I would not recommend godaddy for hosting, they are good for domain sales not for hosting IMO.
