opening 8447

Just upgraded to 10.2 , but now the Tools & Utilities > Updates link is dead.

8447 needs to be opened , but I usually do all my firewall stuff through Plesk Firewall.

So is this how I should open it .....if so, specifically how.

Create a new task in Plesk Firewall ....or apply it to another firewall task that's already running ?

I read a few threads already that rebooting fixed the issue..

which route to try first ?

I'm probably going to sound borderline-slow asking this...

But I almost never have to do this , since plesk automatically opens up what it needs anyway. for some reason it never opened 8447 though.

Ok....so i'm in plesk firewall.

Custom Rule :

Incoming , Outgoing , or Forwarding ?

Action = Allow

Ports 8447 - TCP

Sources (should I enter host ? or leave blank )

I added it like this-

/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 8447 -j ACCEPT
/sbin/ip6tables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 8447 -j ACCEPT

good enough & not a security risk ?
